RWB Scholarship Application

The purpose of the RWB Scholarship is to encourage and support women to reach their highest potential by providing some financial assistance to aid them in the furtherance of their education.  For more information contact Scholarship Committee.  For a scholarship application, click here.  For general information and instructions, click here.

The amount of each scholarship is $500 per semester.  Being chosen to receive a RWB scholarship does not disqualify that same woman from being an applicant or a recipient at a later date.  Applications must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2009 to be considered for the fall semester scholarship.  Selection as a recipient of the RWB scholarship will be based upon information provided by the applicant and a personal interview by the scholarship committee.  The applicant's narrative statement of interest, her plans for the future, as well as demonstrated financial need will be of most importance in the selection process.

Female applicants must fulfill the following initial criteria:

1) be a graduate of a Bossier Parish High School

3) be a registered Republican and have some political experience

4) be able to provide a high school transcript with a GPA of at least 3.5 and a class rank in the top 10%.  A student already enrolled in college must have a GPA of 3.0

5) ACT minimum score of 21

6) submit a typed application form completed in its entirety

7) final eligibility will be determined after proof of enrollment is provided

8) students pursuing degrees in either Government, Political Science, Pre-Law, Law or Media-related subjects will receive highest priority for consideration.
